National Science Week – 15-23 August 2020
Celebrating science & technology. National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology.
Have been studying Classification in Science. This STEM project focused on designing a prototype to aid sugar gliders in crossing Mona Vale Road for resources without becoming roadkill. The boys worked to create a model of their design plans in groups, where they each brought in materials and worked together to create their finished designs.
Year 11 Biology covered a unit called “Organisation of living things” The focus area of study is “investigate the exchange of gases between the internal and external environments of plants and animals” Their practical investigation was looking at “investigating gas exchange in fish”
No time for our Year 12 boys to carry out experiments during Trials time but the Chemistry boys did find time to create some module summaries.
